I work one of the largest Major Trauma Centres in the UK at King's College Hospital London, where I was originally employed to help set up the major trauma reconstruction service. There, I regularly treat some of the most severely injured patients in London and the South East.
I, together with a team of specialists, can help repair form and function to a wide range of soft tissue and nerve injuries and conditions as well as reconstruct limbs and amputations.
I offer microsurgical reconstruction using highly specialised surgical techniques to repair soft tissue, with the transplantation of healthy tissue from one part of a patient's body to another injured or deficient part.
Lymphoedema is the chronic swelling of an area of the body that can be painful and debilitating. I offer the full range of techniques from simple compression bandaging, to liposuction to complex microsurgery to improve drainage.
A nerve injury, often in the hands, arms, legs or feet, can be life changing, presenting functional problems and debilitating pain. After careful assessment and diagnosis, I offer bespoke treatment to improve function and sensation.
Hand injuries can be as simple as a laceration to as complex as a major amputation. With my experience working in trauma for the NHS I can treat all soft tissue injuries of the hand including tendon, nerve and skin along with fractures involving the fingers.
A Morel-Lavallee lesion (MLL) is a closed soft tissue degloving injury. The normal presentation is ongoing pain or a lump in the thigh or buttock after an episode of severe bruising following injury. Treatment can reduce pain and improve appearance.
Scars go through a process of change but sometimes get stuck in a phase of inflammation when surgery may help improve the appearance of a scar. Surgery however can never fully remove the presence of a scar.
Pressure sores, (pressure ulcers, bedsores, decubitus ulcers) are localised injuries to the skin and underlying tissue caused by prolonged pressure. There can be surgical options for pressure sores from simple wound cleaning to reconstruction.
Following a major limb injury or amputation, patients may endure years of recovery, revisional surgery and rehabilitation. I can support patients with surgical treatment throughout their journey to help regain as much independence, mobility and function as possible.
