Reconstructive plastic surgery typically involves a major surgical procedure taking many hours.
It is not a decision to be taken lightly in terms of what you have done, where you have it done and who does it.

I would urge anyone considering a major operation to do as much research as possible and choose the best surgeon for them - and where possible, be prepared to wait.
I believe patients should meet with at least three surgeons before deciding on who to use. You should ensure you verify current employment posts, qualifications, membership of professional organisations and check the GMC register for any complaints. Reconstructive surgery should only be carried out by qualified plastic surgeon consultant doctors.
I understand that some patients might consider travelling abroad to save money but I would urge them to do their research on what the risks of this might be.
I firmly believe that reconstructive surgery should only happen in hospitals that are equipped to deal with any eventuality. I only work in top London hospitals that can provide best-in-class emergency care should it be required as well as round the clock aftercare overnight.
There are often a range of different procedures that can deliver a similar result but there can be a vast difference in their risks, complications, scarring and recovery.
I have built experience over many years of the most complex procedures that deliver the best results with the least risk, offering you a full range of procedures to choose from to best meet your needs as well as combinations of procedures.
I assemble a team of experts to operate alongside me which means we complete operations in less time and can complete multiple procedures at the same time in order to reduce the time needed for anaesthesia, to reduce the number of separate hospital stays and condense down any recovery time.
There are a variety of ways in which to manage pain. I am passionate about developing innovative practices that minimise risk and speed up recovery.
As an example my preference is to partner with anaesthetists that provide spinal blocks rather than use general anaesthetic to minimise the risk of complications and recovery time.
