The main types of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma. All skin cancers require intervention.

Scarring

The scar will, in general, only ever be the same length as the skin lesion removed.

In terms of how the scars will heal and fade over time, everyone is different and the appearance will depend on skin tone, elasticity and how your skin heals.
